At Hillsboro Health we do our best to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during your visit. This means, we want to communicate with you in the best possible way that we can. At Hillsboro Health we have access to quality interpretive services through our partnership with LanguageLine Solutions.
When you are our patient, American Sign Language interpreters are available through video call as well as through in-person capabilities.
In-person interpreter services require pre-scheduling two-days in advance on your visit. To preschedule an in-person interpreter you may request your provider list the service request on your medical order or use 711 for TTY services when you call to schedule your visit.
Video interpreter services can be requested on-site without pre-scheduling. If you feel more comfortable pre-scheduling, please follow the same directives as you would for pre-scheduling an in-person interpreter.
For spoken languages, Hillsboro Health has access to skilled linguists, proficient in over 240 languages, who can provide translative services through the telephone during your visit.
Pre-scheduling this service is not required, however, if you feel more comfortable pre-scheduling an interpreter, feel free to do so. This can be done by asking your referring provider to place the request on your medical order or by notifying us of this need when you schedule your visit.
