On April 29, 2025 Hillsboro Health welcomed over 100 visitors to the Therapy Services Groundbreaking Ceremony. Attendees included representation from State Senator McLure’s Office, City Officials, Board Members, affiliated partners and Hillsboro Health Employees.
The new Therapy Services Building will allow for the growth and expansion of Hillsboro Health’s Therapy Services and increase the access to services provided within the community. With the construction of the new building all therapy services (speech, physical and occupational) will be moved into one central location. The larger space will allow for an increased number of patients to receive quality health care close to home.
During his speech, Hillsboro Health CEO, Michael Alexander, stated construction of this building is a great step towards the future of Hillsboro Health and is looking forward to opening the doors to the public by the end of the year. Alexander’s speech was followed by speeches from Systems Board Chairman, Jack Evans and Hospital Board Vice Chairman, Earl Flack who echoed the sentiments expressed by Alexander. Evans stated health care is changing, and this new addition is necessary for the Hospital to stay relevant. Flack thanked everyone for attending and all were excited to provide more services to the community.
This is not the only construction project underway for Hillsboro Health. In the near future, Hillsboro Health hopes to break ground on an Outpatient Surgical Center, Central Utility Plant and construct a Patient Drop Off Canopy.
If you would like to support or contribute to any of the above listed projects, or any other Hospital projects, donations can be made to the Hillsboro Health Foundation: 1200 E. Tremont St. Hillsboro, IL 62049.
