Community Class: Medicare Annual Enrollment Seminar 2025

Free Informational Session

If you are unsure what Medicare plan is right for you, or you would like to learn more about your options, on Friday, October 17, 2025, Hillsboro Health will host two opportunities for community members to learn about their Medicare options. A free informational session will be held at 10 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. in the Hillsboro Health Cloud Room (1200 E. Tremont St., Hillsboro, Illinois). Refreshments will be served. Pre-registration is not required, but encouraged. To register you may call 217-532-4320.

This educational session will provide information about Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans, including:

  • Medicare A, B, C & D
  • Comparisons between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage
  • Changes coming to Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage RX
  • Which ID card you need to carry

Important Dates to Remember

September 2025

  • Annual Notice of Change detailing major Medicare changes mailed.

October 1, 2025

  • Start comparing your coverage with other options

October 16 - December 7, 2025 Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)

  • Medicare-eligible participants may elect or switch health and prescription drug coverage. This includes returning to Original Medicare or joining a Medicare Advantage plan.

October 17, 2025

  • Attend the ABCs of Medicare informational session at 10 a.m. or 4 p.m. at Hillsboro Health to better understand your options when choosing a plan.
