Respiratory Season Precautions

A Few Seasonal Updates

At Hillsboro Health we work hard to provide a safe atmosphere for both our patients and our staff.  With the rising levels of respiratory illness on a county and state level, Hillsboro Health will be implementing a few initial precautions to help ensure the health and safety of our patients and our team. 

The following precautions have been implemented effective December 31, 2025:

  • Visitors will be limited to two individuals at a time and to those who are 18 years of age and older. (This excludes special circumstances, such as end of life, trauma situations, etc.)
  • Upon entry to the facility, visitors will be screened for respiratory symptoms. Those with symptoms will be encouraged to delay visitation until they are symptom free or asked to wear a mask while in the facility.
  • Our staff will utilize personal protective equipment, especially masks, when providing care to all patients who present with respiratory symptoms.

Hillsboro Health's Director of Regulatory Compliance & Patient Safety will continue to closely monitor respiratory testing data for the State of Illinois and our service area. These precautions will be modified accordingly.
