Dr. Ott graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2005 and attended Blackburn College as an all-conference linebacker and 2008 semifinalist for the National Football Foundation’s William V. Campbell trophy. He moved on to Des Moines University where, in 2014, he graduated with a doctorate in podiatric medicine and surgery as class vice president, a teaching assistant at the medical school, and a member of the Council of Presidents and Curriculum Committee.
He returned to Hillsboro after completing his residency in New York City at New York Presbyterian Queens where he earned the highest score in the country on the American Board of Podiatric Medicine in-training exam as a third-year resident and chief resident in his 4th and final year of residency. His residency was primarily devoted to reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, but covered all aspects of general podiatry.
Dr. Ott’s plan was always to come back home because he saw a need in the area. His many specialties and passion to help his community is a major benefit for Hillsboro area residents. He is most excited to provide the community with "local access to several services that, in the past, were only available in Springfield or St. Louis.
